New Breakthrough in Reverse Engineering

򹤳.jpg

When is reverse engineering necessary? With the rapid development in the manufacturing, people sometimes can only get real samples from assembly line instead of CAD model or reference drawings. So it is necessary to turn the material object into three digital models through all kinds of advanced nondestructive testing method and the three-dimensional geometric modeling method. This is called reverse engineering in CAD.

Reverse engineering means according to the existing things and results to deduce the specific implementation method by analysis. For example,

an exe program can make some beautiful animation effect which we enable to analyze the implementation process by disassembling, decompiling and dynamic tracking methods. The operation behavior is called reverse engineering. Certainly,it's not just decompiling, but also pushing out the design, and documenting. The purpose of reverse engineering is to make the software maintainable. With the society development, reverse engineering is more widely used in the development of new products, product modification design, product imitation, quality analysis and testing, to help us meet various engineering needs. So what does it do?

1. Shorten the period of product design and development; accelerate the product upgrading

2. Reduce the cost and risk of developing new product

3. Speed up product modeling and serialization design

4. Adapt to single, small batch parts manufacturing, especially mold manufacturing which can be divided into direct and indirect molding
